Solar power company features projects across province

Posted Mar 11, 2010 By EMC News

EMC Business - EffiSolar Energy Corporation is a Canadian utility-scale solar power project developer committed to delivering clean, renewable electricity from solar farms in Ontario and across Canada, using affordable and efficient solar energy technologies.

Effisolar is an Ontario based company focused on creating partnerships in the marketplace that will create green jobs in Ontario, reduce greenhouses gas emissions and help provide a sustainable future for our planet.

Our current project undertakings are represented by a series of proposed renewable solar projects in Eastern Ontario, that if approved, have the capacity to reduce greenhouse emissions by 88,774 tons per year resulting in 2,219,350 tons over the 25-years life span of these projects. This is the equivalent of taking approximate 16,254 cars per year off the roads of Ontario!

As part of our strategic business plan, we have partnered with Mann Engineering to design and execute these renewable projects. Mann Engineering is a Toronto based engineering company, specializing in renewable energy, commercial energy conservation and monitoring.

The president of Mann Engineering, James Mann shares the same core values of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and creating "green" jobs in Ontario.

We have 14 projects in Eastern Ontario with a combined economic value of $650 million (CDN) undergoing the streamlined renewable energy approval (REA) process, and we are proposing to start construction as soon as the Ontario Power Authority has issued the required permits. The proposed projects are located in these communities:

- Township of Merrickville-Wolford: Site 6 Wolford Solar Farm (10MW)

- Township of Beckwith: Site 7 Beckwith Solar Farm (10MW)

- Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley: Site 8 Brockville Solar Farm (10MW)

- Township of South Glengarry: - Site 9 Cornwall Solar Farm A (10MW), Site 10 Cornwall Solar Farm B (7MW)

- City of Belleville: Site 19 Belleville Farm (10MW)

- Town of Greater Napanee: Site 18 Napanee Solar Farm (10MW)

- Township of Stone Mills: Site 11 Brady Solar Farm (10MW), Site 12 Strathcona Solar Farm A (10MW), Site 13 Strathcona Solar Farm B (10MW), Site 14 Centreville Solar Farm A (10MW), Site 15 Centreville Solar Farm B (10MW), Site 16 Centreville Solar Farm C (10MW), Site 17 Centreville Solar Farm D (10MW).
