Area's OREA director returns
Posted Mar 11, 2010 By EMC NewsEMC Business - Ottawa real estate broker Patricia Verge will continue in the role of provincial director of the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA), the association announced at its annual conference on March 3.
In this capacity, she will represent the Eastern Ontario area consisting of the Cornwall, Kingston, Ottawa, Renfrew and Rideau-St. Lawrence real estate boards on the OREA board of directors.
Active in the real estate profession for 28 years, Verge is a broker with Royal LePage Team Realty, Brokerage in Ottawa. She is a past-president of the Canadian Real Estate Association. Verge is a member of the Ottawa Real Estate Board where she served as a member of various committees, including communications, political affairs, finance, discipline and government relations. She has served on OREA's finance/audit and legal resource committees and has served on the OREA board since 2009. Most recently Verge served as a member of the leadership development committee.
The Ontario Real Estate Association represents 48,000 brokers and salespeople who are members of the 42 real estate boards throughout the province. Members of the association may use the "REALTORŪ" trademark, which identifies them as real estate professionals who subscribe to a high standard of ethics and service.
OREA serves REALTORS through a wide variety of professional publications, educational programs, government lobbying and other services. A division of the association, the OREA Real Estate College, provides all real estate registration education courses in Ontario.
